“About halfway through 2021, Dakota thought he heard from the Lord about moving to South Carolina to come to Church. He told me this and said just to pray about coming here. I was very much against it. Our first son was only nine months old and both of our families live in Kansas City, where we were at the time. Right at the beginning of 2022, I too felt the Lord calling us here and the grace to leave home for a while. We were not equipped financially or physically because I was pregnant with our second son due August 2022. Provision after provision came and the next thing I knew I had a one month old, a packed U-Haul truck, and a mission to set out for Columbia, South Carolina. With a week before we were to leave, Dakota did not have a job lined up and we did not have a place to live. However, we knew the Lord told us to go and so we were going in faith that he would provide those things for us. A week before we were leaving, Dakota got in connection with a couple people from church and had a job lined up making far less money than before and seemingly not enough to live, but it was a start. Then the evening before we were leaving to come here, we were finishing putting everything in the truck and saying our goodbyes to family when we got a call we had a place to live. Not only was it a rental house only a few miles from Church but the owner also confirmed us to live there despite not making the required amount per the property manager.

There is about 100 testimonies within just this one alone. All of this to say, even when there doesn’t seem to be a way, trust the voice of God, step out in faith, and he will make the path and lay it before you. So much fruit has come from our time here at Church and although hardships don’t seem to stop coming, Dakota and I both have grown closer to Jesus, closer together, and had such wonderful friendships with the community here. I truly don’t believe we would have been able to walk through the things that we did if we weren’t surrounded by the people here and through fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
